French In Action Audio Files
French In Action Audio Files
Audio track — is a set of recorded sounds combined into one or more channels. This process occurs when the elements of image are edited in final version. Typically, this a mix of four basic elements: speech (dialogue, voice-overs), environment, sound effects, music. All this is audio track and added to the movie. This audio track can be added to the movie and cut from movie. As e result, in the same film may be imposed multiple tracks, for example, the original English, dubbed Russian and Ukrainian multi voices tracks. It allows you to view movies with different voice acting.

This is my first post on the forum, although I've been dipping in for a while. It was here that I first learned of the French In Action series. I've managed to get hold of the videos and have just bought the textbooks and workbooks. I've been able to acquire some of the audio files from the interweb but this page only seems to contain the text work up, not the aural exercises. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the whole of the audio materials for this course on the net? Apologies if this question has been done to death - I've searched but haven't found anything to answer my question. Cheers! 1 person has voted this message useful

I'm really enjoying the videos (although I'm only onto number 8) but I'm sure the extra audio and workbook exercises will be a huge benefit. Cheers! Anyone know of any other educational site to listen to FIA audio? Thanks in advance. 1 person has voted this message useful

Each FIA lesson have: - one video - its corresponding audio - the 'mise en ouvre' (where you repeat the sentences, those form the text workup) - 30-40 audio exercises (aural exercises, explaining grammar, vocabulary, drills). Unfortunately, bandwidth is not free, I use paypal to buy 10GB blocks of downloads for US$5 a pop, and the FIA audio is about 6GB. It's a lot cheaper than buying it, and you can grab the public domain Italian and Spanish DLI courses with your left over download quota. Oh, and please refrain from downloading the illegal courses, blah blah blah. 1 person has voted this message useful

French In Action Audio Files Online
Buy French in Action: A Beginning Course in Language and Culture, Second Edition: Audio Program, Part 1 by Pierre Capretz online at Alibris. We have new and used copies available, in 0 edition - starting at $19.95. The whole French In Action package (videos, text, workbook, and audio CDs) turns out to be a significant investment, but compared to the cost of a college course (plus the cost of college textbooks) I think it is still a reasonable deal, especially if you plan to re-sell the materials once you are finished. Help finding French in Action audio files Would anyone happen to have access to the audio files that go along with the French in Action video series. I bought the workbooks that go along with the course but am unable to use them without the audio files.
