If you’re looking for the schedule, ways to connect with other attendees and opportunities to participate during the conference, you’ll want to know how to navigate the Whova app. You can find the schedule on the website too, but there are other benefits to downloading/signing up on the app! Last year, we used Whova as well, but for those who are new here…

Here’s What You Can Do on the Whova App

Whova has a Web App that can run on any browsers on laptops or desktops, and we also have a mobile app that runs both on Android and iPhone. Would the virtual conference features still be useful in a face-to-face event? For example, the video uploading can allow your attendee to watch the recorded session after the event. Finding and Accessing a Live Session In order to access the session, you need to use the Whova application and have a Whova account. To find a session, please proceed as follows: Go to NC SHAPE's Web App link. Under Main Navigation click on Agenda. (See the image to the right.) Once you are in the Agenda, click on View Session for the session you are interested in (e.g. What benefits does Whova provide for event organizers? Who pays for Whova and how much does it cost? Can I download a DEMO to review? We would like to attract more attendees. Can Whova help on this? How can the Whova app help us have more sponsors and promote them? Is Whova useful after the event? What is the privacy policy of Whova?

• Build your schedule/agenda and set reminders
• Comment, ask questions for any session you’re attending
• Watch the session directly on your phone (but you can do this on the Desktop version too)
• Network with speakers, organizers, volunteers and attendees through the platform
• Engage in different topics and share your notes & knowledge through the Community tab

Whova has added new features that are geared for a virtual conference, so we are excited (and a little nervous) to see how it functions during SASW.
